Intermedia is an event-based programme that explores possibilities of counterpointing film, audio, visuals, and performative elements. We hope to invite practitioners interested in the refinement of their practice by challenging and exploring the possibilities in layering various mediums via architecture (metaverse), AR, VR, and live broadcasting.

Wanderlust (Retina Mixed Memories)
2020, Produced in SG/FR. In collaboration with Muriel Ferraro, mezzo soprano (voice and sound).
What do we see when two images or more are mixed, transformed, destroyed? Which sounds or music emerges from memories? Something that doesn't belong to our everyday experience, but an inner sight. Mixed and reversed images question us about reality and temporality. If a story appears, it's only thanks to editing, juxtapositions and superimpositions. What is a memory? Is it linked to joy or melancholia? What do we see when we close our eyes? Wanderlust.
In the video to come, I will mix footages that I recorded in Singapore with a sound score created in France.

You land back home, after 5 years, and, beyond adversity, the only thing you wish is to take a train from the city to the sea or go to the movies. Moving again. Who cares the 10000 kilometres. We are linked by the sea and cinema. In the video performance to come, I will mix footage I took, as if they were my dreams and memories.

“For years, I photograph, create soundtracks, movies, during solitary and distant journeys. Wandering in Mongolia, Siberia, Brazil, Japan, Iceland… I bring back images dumb and folded as dreams, of places without age, landscapes from before or after humanity. I stop where nobody stops. In front of these places where we pass by and that hide.
No-man's-land of a strange density which look as if they had never been looked. I feel novice and pioneer. I try local or out-of-date rolls, old Russian camera, pinholes and low fi digital. I take photos since, as a young girl, I became aware that I shall spend my life behind my eyes.”
