Al Hassan Elwan delves into the ideas behind POSTPOSTPOST’s inaugural film and interrogates the project’s central questions: Why are 20th century notions of progress still haunting us? Are we done with dooming? Is it still acceptable to dream of new critical imaginaries that challenge power structures? Or is it irrevocably too cringe?

Following the screening and talk, a roundtable conversation with the artist, Rafi Abdullah² (ToNewEntities), Duncan Bass³ (Singapore Art Museum), and Federico Ruberto⁴ (formAxioms), will use internet detritus—from brainrot AI to the new pope—to think through the current cultural, political, and existential moment.
